Rainbow Connection

A few weeks ago, I posted a rainbow cake on the blog and made the vow to make it ASAP.

Well, apparently the blog fairies heard my request . . .

and made rainbow cupcakes for my birthday!

They were incredible. Holy cow. My photos don't do them justice. Really vibrant colors--the whole spectrum/rainbow. Oh! And this crazy buttercream frosting that could give you a cavity for sure. Yum-O!

Thank you so much, Mary and Whitt. That meant so much to me.

And thank you to Angie and Seth for having their baby on my bday, too. FOR FUN!

BTW: I realized this at end of the day yesterday--

SO many people had made an extra effort to make my bday special. Between cards, calls, posts on Facebook, presents, and visits, I felt really really cared for and cared about.

It was the best feeling in the whole world. (And I'm not exaggerating.)

I realized that I need to try and make bdays more special for the people in my life.

It really does make a difference.

Birthdays should be special. For. Sure.
