Orange You Glad It's October?

You can find something to love about every season, every holiday, BUT there's something just MAGICAL about Fall to me.



I just love Fall--



the leaves changing color

roadside stands of veggies/fruit

coolers temps

pumpkin and carmel flavored EVERYTHING

back-to-school fun (pencils, erasers, backpacks, new clothes, etc.)

crockpot cooking

and of course . . .



HALLOWEEN PREP!



Yup, once October hits, I am one happy girl! Get me a hot chocolate and a trip to a pumpkin patch and I'm in heaven.



This year, like the last 3, we went to a pumpkin patch down the street from our home. It's a pretty amazing operation--family-owned/operated (in fact, I think a 10 year-old was running it today). It was extra fun this year because we had LuLu and Jr. (kids we are foster fam to), and they hadn't picked out their own pumpkins before (LuLu said it was her first punkin' ever--for FUN!).



If this patch doesn't have the Great Pumpkin, then no other patch does (because it's an AWESOME patch--complete with a small corn maze and really FUN photo ops).
