Kaya and Camry like to play a game called "MASH." I can't remember what the title stands for, but it's a game I played as a tween, too. Basically, you grab a piece of notebook paper, create some quadrants on it, write MASH at the top, list numbers, boys' names, house types, etc.--and then there's some kind of time-frame set. During that unspecified time-frame, you start crossing names, numbers, options off the list--until you are left with the following:
1. The name of the person you will marry.
2. The number of children you will have.
3. The type of dwelling you will live in (cabin, mansion, treehouse, apartment . . .).
Well, Camry and Kaya, I'm here to tell you, that game doesn't exactly predict the future.
Because clearly I did not marry Lance Munroe. And I don't live in a treehouse.
BUT, as of Tuesday, I do have SIX beautiful children. (And I can say that, BEAUTIFUL, because I didn't manufacture them. And, I'm unbiased as a result. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL.)
See . . . (PS: They appear out of birth-order. Sorry, I can't figure out this Blogger interface for the life of me!)
Camry.
LuLu.
Paige.
Ray (aka "Jr").
Kaya.
And . . .
Jonah--who, at nearly 15, is somewhat difficult to photograph from the waist-up.
Who knew a game of school-girl MASH would rival The Magic Ball in prediction stats!
(PS: Someone, quick, call Alice from the Brady Bunch. I think she missed her first day of work here. I could have sworn she'd be here when we came home from finalizing the adoptions yesterday.)
