Two things I hope to remember:
1. Don't Take Life for Granted.
I haven't seen the movie "The Blind Side" yet--but, I'm thinking I should. This review was pretty persuasive, entitled, "Don't Take Life for Granted":

2. Doing Something Nice for Someone Else ALWAYS Increases Your Happiness.
Thanks Jen, for coming up with the idea to bring holiday cheer to a neighbor in need of it. You are beyond thoughtful. I feel like you are the kind of person that would share their life-preserver if we were on the Titanic together. I love you!
***Background for #2:
Jen came up with the idea to decorate a neighbor's home for Christmas--this neighbor had planned to "skip it" based on all of the year's stresses.
So, Jen brought her an incredible indoor tree--it looked like a designer tree with glitter ball ornaments. Mary brought stockings, a velvet/diamond collar for the family pet. Page, Taryn, Tara, Neola, Monica, Janae, Ken, and myself--and a herd of kiddos--all added lights, garland, poinsettias, AMAZING bows tied like nobody's business, and more! It was an incredible thing to see everyone working--while the neighbor was unaware and away for the night.
And I'll admit, for more than a few minutes I just stood quietly to take it all in.
It's amazing what people can do for each other. (And actually, amazing to see what THESE specific people can do for others. Tee hee!)
I never want to forget the way that felt--everyone working together to do something for someone else.
Here's a little peek . . .
