First Day of School xs 4!

Well, it's official: the kids began "public school" today.

Talk about a journal entry!

Jonah began high school.

Gulp!

Kaya began 5th grade.

Gulp!

And Paigey began 1st.

Gulp!

I'm pretty proud of everyone--considering we've been homeschooling for a lot of years now. This was a big transition. And yet, it really wasn't. Everyone came home with smiles!

(PS: Cam begins school tomorrow. She and I are K12/homeschooling this year, and then she will join the rest of the bambinos at their school next year. It's going to give us some good bonding time, and help her to work with a tutor that specializes in dyslexia. I thought it would be a little hard to have everyone go except for Camry, but she's got this spirit that's pretty incredible. She's so kind and positive. She really was excited for everyone--not feeling sorry for herself. Plus, we decided that since the kids all had uniforms for school, we would have uniforms for homeschool. First dress code rule: professionally painted toenails--WITH flowers and a gem. And I'm so not kidding. Seemed only fair.)

I'm sure this experience is going to be great for each of the kids (and us, too).

BTW--Cam and I could literally hear a pin drop when we came home from dropping everyone off today. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooo different.

MOM--glad your surgery went well. Get better soon!
